Dear parents of Chak Yan Centre,

Taking care of children with behavioral and emotional difficulties is indeed challenging. When navigating the tough path of parenting, many parents may feel misunderstood by others or experience loneliness and helplessness, leading to emotional distress and even the brink of collapse.
Through this process, our social workers have found that many parents, when reflecting on the past, carry feelings of guilt in their parent-child relationships, which further complicates the parenting journey.
At the Chak Yan Parent Support Platform, "則仁身心靈加油站", parents come together to share experiences, learn self-care, and understand their own inner needs. The aim is to foster self-healing, improve communication skills, and provide mutual support as we navigate the challenges of raising children with behavioral and emotional difficulties.
